An explosion occurred in a commercial building in Rotterdam on the night of Wednesday to Thursday. A fire started, but no one was injured.

The explosive went off around 2:10 am at a business premises at the intersection of Laan op Zuid and Lodewijk Pincoffsweg in Rotterdam. No one was injured by the explosion, police said in a message.
A fire did occur. As a result, a number of residents of houses above the building had to leave their homes. The police are investigating the event.
