Explosion at home in Eindhoven, witnesses wanted

Eindhoven – An explosion occurred at a house on Kreeftstraat in Eindhoven on Tuesday 9 July at around half past seven in the evening. The explosion took place in the front garden of the house. No one was injured. Heavy fireworks were probably used. The police are investigating and are looking for witnesses.

The explosion in the front garden was probably caused by the use of heavy fireworks in combination with a flammable liquid. A specialist from the Explosives Reconnaissance Team (TEV) assessed the situation on site and the technical investigation department secured traces. The cause and the course of events are currently being investigated. Fortunately, the damage was limited. The police are conducting a neighbourhood investigation and requesting available camera images.
