In an explosion at a house on WG Witteveenstraat in Bergschenhoek (north of Rotterdam), the front door was destroyed on Saturday night. There was also smoke development on the first floor of the apartment. No one was injured.
Evacuation
Around 00:45 an explosive went off at the front door of a house on WG Witteveenstraat. It caused damage to the front door and smoke. The residents of the first and second floors had to temporarily leave their homes and were accommodated in a flat opposite. It concerned about 20 residents of twelve homes. As soon as the fire service indicated that it was safe, the police investigation started.
The forensic investigation has carried out trace investigation. A neighborhood investigation will take place on Sunday, including looking at cameras in the area. No one has been arrested yet, according to police.
