Ernst Jansz, known from the iconic Dutch band Doe Maar, enters the theater with his latest performance Een Liefdeslied. During the performance, the audience is introduced to the phenomenal love story of his parents: the Indian student and the poverty-stricken Amsterdam girl, who meet in a dance tent on the eve of the Second World War. The theater performance combines music, story and images to take the audience on an emotional journey through time.

A love song will travel to Dutch theaters from September 27, 2024 to May 2, 2025. Ticket sales have already started. Jansz and his band (Guus Paat on guitar and Richard Wallenburg on bass) bring the special history of his parents to life with beautiful songs and compelling stories. “Love stories are important. They give us hope and show us the most beautiful thing humanity has to offer: love. It is precisely in dark times that she often shows herself in her most beautiful form,” says Ernst Jansz.
