Erik de Zwart has been a tram driver in The Hague since last year. Party is curious how that came his way. “It’s an old hobby. When I was little and lived in Amsterdam, I wanted to become a tram driver. Anyway, I turned left and became a disc jockey. Driving the tram came my way at some point. First we were able to work as drivers of old trams in The Hague, on the museum and tourist tram, and one thing led to another. So I did further training and now I can also drive the normal tram and I really enjoy doing that. Really cool.”
