The police arrested a 79-year-old man from Eindhoven on Sunday evening in his home at Troyeshof on suspicion of involvement in the death of his wife. The 75-year-old victim was found lifeless in the same home.
The man called the police around 9:30 PM and reported a stabbing. Officers drove to the house and found the suspect and the dead woman. The Eindhove resident was taken to the police station for further investigation. He is in custody and is being interrogated.
The police are investigating the cause and background of the incident. Forensic detectives are examining the home and a neighborhood survey is being conducted.
