Customs in the Netherlands recently seized a shipment of croquettes filled with cocaine. The labels on the croquettes indicate that they come from Suriname.
Dutch customs says on Facebook: ‘After further investigation of this Dutch snack, our colleagues discovered that something was wrong. These croquettes were not filled with meat, but with cocaine.’
‘Coke eating’
Customs also say that the ‘coke items’ have been seized and destroyed. ‘Maybe the smugglers thought it was a good substitute for flour? And even though we are not about recipe innovation, you will not see this snack on a snack wall.’
As far as we know, no suspects have been arrested.
