Tilburg – The police found various drugs during an investigation in a house on Mascagnistraat on Tuesday afternoon, January 30, 2024. This concerns both soft and hard drugs. The 51-year-old resident has been arrested. He has been detained and will be brought before the examining magistrate next Friday. The action followed several tips that dealings were probably taking place from this house.
In recent weeks, the Groene Beemden police team received several reports about a building on Mascagnistraat from which dealings were allegedly taking place. There was nuisance and suspicious situations. Further investigation provided sufficient clues to search the home under the supervision of the examining magistrate in consultation with the public prosecutor. More than 100 grams of hashish, almost 200 grams of hemp, approximately 380 grams of cocaine and 2,000 grams of amphetamine were seized. The drugs were found, among other things, in the freezer section of the refrigerator. 5,000 euros in cash was also seized. In addition, a stolen bicycle was also found in the storage room. The 51-year-old resident has been arrested and is suspected of drug possession and dealing. The police will inform the municipality of Tilburg of the findings.
