Hapert – On Tuesday afternoon, a drug production site was discovered in a cottage at a holiday park on the Schouwberg in Hapert. A 31-year-old man and a 29-year-old woman from Oss have been arrested.

Notification

In the afternoon we received a report from the holiday park that a window had been smashed at one of the cottages. When someone went to take a look, they saw several jerry cans in the house. There was also a strange air around the house. Immediately contact was made with the police.

In addition to the arrested man and woman, several drug-related goods were found in the house by colleagues. There was also a typical, pungent smell in the house. A hazardous materials consultant came to the site to carry out a measurement in connection with the possible hazard setting.

After this check, experts from the National Dismantling Facility (LFO) came to the cottage to conduct further investigation. They are specially trained and equipped to work at the highest level of safety, such as in situations involving hazardous chemicals. In addition to various jerry cans, 100 liters of GHB, almost 3 kilos of amphetamine, about 6 liters of raw material for the production of GHB and more than 1000 pills were found.

At around 11:30 p.m. last night, the investigation by LFO was completed and the cottage was released. All goods and chemicals have been safely cleared by LFO and are being destroyed. The two suspects are currently in custody pending further investigation.
