Branco van den Boomen has the clubs to choose from. The 27-year-old midfielder from Toulouse is an interesting target in Europe due to his contract situation.
“There is a lot of interest,” says Mike Verweij, journalist for De Telegraaf, in the Kick-Off football podcast. Van den Boomen will run out of his contract in the south of France next summer. “This week it was rumored that he was very much in the interest of Royal Antwerp FC. I checked that with his agents. He is on a list there.”
Verweij emphasizes that Van den Boomen is on the list ‘at many clubs’, because the midfielder is transfer-free after this season. Valentijn Driessen, chief football officer of the morning newspaper, says that Feyenoord is above average interested. “I think he is at the top of Feyenoord’s list. There have already been discussions. From what I understand, he is number one on Slot’s list.”
Van den Boomen, who won the Coupe de France with Toulouse last weekend by winning 1-5 against Nantes in the final, is going through a very strong season in Ligue 1. In thirty appearances he was accurate five times and gave eight assists.
