At the beginning of this week, on Monday, November 13, ‘The Sinterklaas News’ started and the national arrival of Sinterklaas will take place on Saturday, November 18. This year the historic fortified city of Gorinchem will form the backdrop for all the festivities. As always, NTR will report on the arrival of the great childhood friend on NPO 3 from 12 noon. Dieuwertje Blok presents both ‘The Sinterklaas News’ and the national arrival and, as a lover of the Sinterklaas festival, she certainly doesn’t find that a punishment. “For me it is really a celebration of fantasy, of imagination, of teasing each other a little and playing jokes. You’re never too old for that! The news contains so many fun jokes, for little children, for big children and for grown-ups. It’s fun for everyone.”
