On Monday evening, August 28, around 9:20 p.m., 24-year-old Ibrahim Demir was shot on Orlandostraat in The Hague. He died on the spot from his injuries. The Large-Scale Investigation Team (TGO) of the police is conducting extensive research into this case. On the evening of the shooting incident, a burnt-out car was found on the Van der Kooijweg in Rijswijk. This road is a relatively short distance from the Orlandostraat. It is a dark blue Kia Niro. The investigation team is investigating whether this burnt-out car has anything to do with this case. The team is investigating various scenarios. On Tuesday 29 August, the Royal Netherlands Marechaussee (KMAR) arrested a 22-year-old man in a waiting aircraft at Schiphol Airport in connection with a possible involvement in this fatal shooting incident. Aggravated assault Loosduinseweg | The Hague
On Saturday, May 27, around 8:10 p.m., a 29-year-old man was severely assaulted on Loosduinseweg in The Hague. The victim was approached by five men in front of a coffee shop while walking by. Out of nowhere, three of the five men attacked the victim. He was not only beaten but also stabbed. When a friend of the victim came by, the men ran away. Kill Mike Venema | Curacao
On Friday, September 14, 2018, the missing Dutchman Mike Venema was reported to the police in Curaçao. Almost a year later, on Friday, July 5, 2019, his black pick-up of the Ford brand type Raptor was found at the bottom of the Caribbean Sea. The remains of his body were also discovered in the car.
