Matthijs de Ligt is very satisfied after Bayern Munich’s victory over Paris Saint-Germain in the Champions League. The Dutchman and his colleagues managed to keep a clean sheet, partly because two goals from Kylian Mbappé were rejected.
“With him, Paris Saint-Germain is a completely different team,” said De Ligt, who was full of praise for the French attacker in conversation with BT Sport afterwards. Mbappé came in after about an hour of play and scored twice. However, both goals were disallowed for offside, with Bayern eventually leaving Paris 0-1. Kingsley Coman made the only goal of the evening. “There is still a game to play,” De Ligt continues.
🏎 Nuno Mendes turns on the jet engines, shows Dayot Upamecano his heels and gives an assist on Kylian Mbappé! But it’s offside again, this time it’s a little less noticeable.
How long will this go well for Bayern? 😱 #UCL #PSGBAY pic.twitter.com/aKPGE7I3DJ

The central defender is impressed by the way in which the German superpower presented itself in the Parc des Princes. “I think we were in control of the game. The way we defended was the best way to stop their great attackers.”
