‘I just heard the party leader say that he does not see that happening at all. That also seems very sensible to me. We have been there and that is not a good idea to do that’, says De Jonge.

Door not quite shut

The newspaper De Limburger reported last week that the CDA and the VVD in that province are opening the door to cooperation with the PVV after the elections in March. In the spring of 2021, the coalition of both parties with the PVV fell apart due to a fight there.

‘We do not exclude any party in advance,’ declared list leader Michael Theuns (CDA), according to De Limburger. That is what the VVD party leader also said. According to the PVV in Limburg, there have already been contacts with the leaders of both parties.
