Database Administrator Oracle – IT job in Netherlands

You work within the department where our Linux servers, Oracle and SQL databases are hosted. You work closely with other departments such as Technical Application Managers, Functional Management and Security Officers. You are involved in managing, keeping up-to-date and securing the Oracle database environment. You also support administrators from your role and act as the first and technical point of contact. You are (technically) responsible for various (upgrade and implementation) projects within the environment. The municipality of Leeuwarden is also responsible for the ICT management of the municipality of Waadhoeke, Noardeast-Fryslân, Dantumadiel, Vlieland, Terschelling, Ameland, Schiermonnikoog, Social Affairs and Employment Department Noardwest Fryslân, Hûs en Hiem, RIEC, bv Sport and VFG. With your knowledge, you ensure that we can let our colleagues at the SSC and those of the affiliated organizations do their job properly.

Your task package consists of:

• Preparing and implementing changes in the Oracle database environment;
• Monitoring the availability of the Oracle database environment;
• Quality control of the available technical documentation;
• Technically responsible for various projects within your field;
• Coordinating work with suppliers and partners;
• Advising on the technical aspects of the database environment.

As an Oracle DBA specialist, you work with the latest and most advanced database and data management technologies.

• Knowledge of Oracle products such as Oracle 19, and Oracle Enterprise Manager (OEM);

The team
The Information and Communication Technology (ICT) department consists of approximately 50 FTEs and is part of the SSC. The ICT department takes care of the central Service Desk, the workplaces, office automation, network, telephony and application hosting. In addition to its own organization, the department also provides ICT for eight municipalities and various semi-government organizations in the region. The total environment has 42,000 end users. What do we offer
It concerns a structural function for 1 fte as, where we start with an annual contract. This with the intention to extend it for an indefinite period of time. You will receive a salary, depending on education and experience, of a minimum of €3,167 and a maximum of €4,537 (job scale 9, salary scale 2-1-2023 Cao Municipalities) gross per month with a 36-hour working week.
