Data & Analytics Consultant – IT job in Netherlands

At Evides we make water valuable every day. And we can’t do that without data! The organization is developing rapidly and is becoming increasingly data-driven. To support this development, Evides uses various information products that have been developed on an advanced data platform based on the latest Microsoft Azure resources. The number of information issues and demand for reliable information products is increasing rapidly!

That is why we are looking for a Data & Analytics Consultant for the Data Management & Analytics department who is a specialist in PowerBI. You are someone who gets energy from working with colleagues from other departments to translate various issues into a reliable solution that provides the right insights. You are responsible from the initial analysis, the translations into an approach, the design of the data model up to and including the development of visuals, dashboards and reports and stimulating use. We work on projects of great social importance. With your data we ensure that our children and grandchildren also have reliable drinking water.

In addition to collaboration with colleagues from other departments, you work a lot in the department with 10 direct colleagues who are responsible for the design, management and development of the data platform and information products. This great team ensures that the right data sources are accessed, modeled and ultimately used in reports or for self-service purposes. We are a driven team that is proud of what we do. We have a lot of control and responsibility, but we are always there for each other.

Do you have…

• Have you completed a relevant HBO and/or WO education?
• Experience with technology and developments in the field of data analytics in an Azure environment, including Databricks, Azure Analysis Services, Synapse, SQL and PowerBI?
• extensive knowledge of data architectures and dimensional data modeling,
• knowledge of and experience with Microsoft Dax?
• experience with Agile methodologies such as scrum and DevOps?

Are you…

• an expert in creating visualizations, dashboards and reports?
• have good communication skills, communicate well and understand the content?
• a natural talent who, as an advisor, is able to involve the internal customer in the development process and thus ensure effective collaboration?
• someone who looks at solutions from different angles, can make decisions and actively involves the team?
• monitor and maintain an overview?

What you’re going to do

• You analyze the information issue; designs the data model and visualizations and coordinates the action plan with the internal customer.
• You help the customer in drawing up requirements and definitions.
• You develop reliable data models and reports and ensure good security in the data platform.
• You manage and improve existing products & reports.
• You put Power BI further on the map within Evides.
• You support and train users to get the most out of their data.

What we do for you

• You will be classified in scale 10 of the Water Companies Collective Labor Agreement. The maximum gross monthly salary in this scale based on a 40-hour working week is €4,838 gross per month.
• In addition, you will receive approximately 20% monthly in a flexible employment conditions budget. In this scale this is a maximum of €968. You can, among other things, buy extra vacation days with this, have it paid out every month or save it and have it paid out in one go; the choice is yours!
