Daan Schuurmans plays one of the leading roles in Forever Young, the new next generation theater show that is inspired by the tragedies of the club of 27. Schuurmans can be seen during the live show in a ninety-minute mix of dance, theatre, film and electronic music on the silver screen. He plays Liam Nova’s manager; the young superstar we follow on his way to the top of the music world. Forever Young can only be seen from the end of March to the end of April in nightclub Escape on Rembrandtplein in Amsterdam.

Daan Schuurmans: ‘Forever Young is a great project to work on. The show is bursting with energy and is extremely innovative, the story also deals with a current theme. In recent years, a lot of attention has been paid to the way artists are treated behind the scenes. In Forever Young, the audience can experience that life up close: the highs and the lows.’ For the cinematic element of the show, Daan Schuurmans takes on the role of Larry the manager: ‘A wonderful role in which I can show both sides of that coin. Larry is driven and makes the right choices to take Liam to the top, but in the end he is blinded by that success.’

After all the blockbuster films, the public can now experience this gripping rollercoaster as a 360˚ theater show in a place that has played an important role in Dutch pop history: Escape Amsterdam. Forever Young plays four nights, five shows a week.

The large creative team behind Forever Young is a special mix of artistic high flyers and includes Don Pepijn Schipper (music director), Timor Steffens (creative director), Levan Tsikurishvili (director) and Roziena Salihu (scriptwriter). After the world premiere, which will take place on March 30, Forever Young will be shown in the Netherlands for a short time, after which the show will continue to travel around the world.
