The Hague – A 55-year-old man from The Hague died in an accident between a car and a cyclist at the Hoefkade/Veluweplein intersection in The Hague. This happened around 5:00 PM on Friday, March 3. The police are investigating how the accident could have happened and are looking for witnesses.
It is still unclear how the accident between the cyclist and the car could have happened. When the emergency services arrived at the scene of the accident, they resuscitated the victim. The trauma helicopter has also landed. Unfortunately, the assistance was of no avail and the 55-year-old victim died. The driver had initially fled from his vehicle, but returned to the incident a little later and was arrested on Hoefkade. The suspect is a 23-year-old resident of The Hague.
