With your experience and analytical insight, you can detect any risks related to information security in no time. This can be both online and offline.

You are the point of contact for information security within the organization. You have both an advisory and a testing role. In addition, you work frequently with line management to identify risks in municipal processes, business operations and projects and you take actions to increase their resilience and resilience.

What responsibilities will you get?

As a CISO you protect the organization by developing and implementing (strategic and tactical) information security policies and measures, with the aim of ensuring the security of sensitive information. You are a strategic information security advisor to the board, management and management and provide solicited and unsolicited advice. You now follow the guidelines of the BIO, soon those of NIS2 and draw up an annual plan to minimize risks, in consultation with stakeholders. In addition, you monitor the implementation of these measures and report on them to the board and management. You have an affinity with privacy and ICT, can set priorities and are able to communicate complex information clearly. You are a trusted contact person for the IBD.

You will have the following responsibilities:

• Drawing up, adjusting and implementing (strategic and tactical) information security policy in accordance with the BIO,NIS2) and associated plans;
• Ensure compliance with relevant laws and regulations;
• Coordinate and advise on security incidents, in collaboration with the PO and ISO;
• As ENSIA coordinator, lead the annual ENSIA audit, including accountability for DigiD and Suwinet;
• Analyzing risks and advising management and board on risk management;
• Monitor compliance with security requirements and promote information awareness;
• Initiating and leading projects to implement or enforce security measures and improve security quality in the long term.

What are you good at

As a CISO you are an effective communicator, advisor and awareness raiser in the field of information security. You will be part of the Corporate Staff team, where you will provide independent supervision and be involved in management discussions, especially in security incidents. You implement new cybersecurity legislation, stay informed of the latest developments and advise on necessary measures. In our growing municipality between The Hague and Rotterdam, you increase awareness about information security and work closely with the ISO and the ICT, Projects and Application Management team.

What experience do you build on?

We would like to see the following in you:

• You have an HBO+ working and thinking level;
• It is an advantage if you have the CISM, CISSP, C|CISO or CCISO certifications;
• You have gained extensive work experience in a similar role;
• You have demonstrable experience in carrying out risk analyzes and implementing security standards such as the Government Information Security Baseline (BIO) and ISO27001;
• You can work well with different disciplines at different levels;
• You are analytical, have persuasiveness and attention to quality.

• Your salary is a maximum of €5,997 based on 36 hours per week, depending on education and work experience in accordance with scale 11;
