Chief Information Security Officer (CISO) – IT job in Netherlands

As Chief Information Security Officer, you will take the lead in improving our information security? Are you the expert who translates legislation and regulations into practical applications in practice? Then you are the CISO we are looking for for the municipality of Zuidplas: the municipality that helps you grow!

Information
As a CISO in the Information Provision and Support cluster, you contribute to the information security of the municipal organization and the ZO Foundation! (foundation that carries out tasks in the Social Domain).

Your goal is for the municipality of Zuidplas to comply with the Government Information Security Baseline (BIO), this is even included in our College program. To this end, you propose the necessary policy and implement parts of it. You take control of security incidents and monitor their handling. You also coordinate the ENSIA reporting including associated audits. You also put information security on the map within the organization by creating awareness at all levels. When carrying out your tasks, you work closely with management, information advisors, privacy officer, concern controller and you seek coordination with the CISOs of other municipalities within our partnership.

You follow relevant external developments and provide advice and make concrete policy proposals. With your experience and broad view, you also contribute to the further development of the Information Services team.

As a CISO you are involved in the following activities:

• You are responsible for drawing up, adjusting, renewing and revising the (strategic) information security policy in accordance with the BIO and the resulting information security plans;
• You ensure compliance with relevant laws and regulations regarding information security and promote a culture of information awareness in the organization;
• You coordinate and advise on security incidents;
• You analyze the risks and threats that the municipality faces in the field of information security and advise management and board on how to deal with these risks;
• You coordinate the annual ENSIA audit, including accountability for DigiD and Suwinet.

Job requirements

• You have at least an HBO diploma or similar training that shows that you have an HBO working and thinking level;
• You are familiar with applicable standards such as Government Information Security Baseline (BIO), ISO 27001, NIS-2, the Increasing Digital Resilience of Information Security Service (IBD) program and the basic measures of the NCSC;
• It is an advantage if you have certifications such as CISM, CISSP or are willing to obtain the necessary certifications;
• You have relevant work experience;
• You are a discussion partner for employees, management, directors and boards;

Employment conditions
If you come to work at the municipality of Zuidplas, you are assured of good primary and secondary employment conditions, namely:

• A salary between €4,211 and €5,997 gross per month based on 36 hours (scale 11);
• An Individual Choice Budget of 17.05% of the gross annual salary that you can use entirely according to your own wishes. Consider the option of having it paid out or purchasing extra vacation days;
• A one-year contract with the prospect of an appointment for an indefinite period;
• A full-time working week of maximum 36 hours;

• Pension scheme through the ABP where the municipality of Zuidplas pays 70% of your pension accrual;

About the Municipality of Zuidplas
Zuidplas is a merged municipality consisting of the villages of Moerkapelle, Moordrecht, Nieuwerkerk aan den IJssel and Zevenhuizen.
