Presenter Carlo Boszhard, from the successful program Married At First Sight, does not like the fact that the candidates receive so many negative messages on social media. According to him, it is not surprising that people have an opinion about the program. “I understand that all too well,” he says. “If it is no longer talked about, something is wrong. And of course the program must also score in love, otherwise it has no right to exist.”
Tackled hard
However, Carlo believes that candidates are often treated too harshly online. “They can take a beating and receive guidance in this. Yet you read things on social media that are very spicy and even worse than spicy.”
More respect
The presenter finds it too easy to say ‘don’t watch’. But Carlo also finds it too easy to watch and react. “They are fourteen singles, all looking for love. They may not find or get all of them. A little more respect, hopefully.”
