A 34-year-old man from Veldhoven was slightly injured in a shooting on the Ingenieur Mettropweg in Casteren on Friday morning around 6:30 am. According to the victim, he was sitting in his car and was shot at by several men.
The victim was taken to hospital by ambulance and treated for his injuries. It is still unclear what exactly happened. It may be a traffic dispute. The left windshield of the car the man was in was shattered by the gunman.
Towed away
The on-site investigation has now been completed and the car has been towed away. The police are still conducting additional investigations to determine the exact circumstances and motives. No one has been arrested yet. The police are looking for witnesses.
