Breda – A boy from Breda was lifted from his bed early on Saturday morning by the police. He is suspected of assaulting a man on Friday afternoon.
The victim (70) walked Friday, September 1, 2023 in a shopping center at the Heksenwaag. At that moment, a boy came riding through the mall on a moped. The victim said something about that. The boy was not pleased and hit the victim several times in the face. Bystanders tried to calm things down. Before the suspect could drive away, a photo of his license plate was taken. A bystander took care of the victim who was bleeding in his face and possibly had a broken nose.
Arrest
The police were called and an investigation was launched. The officers arrived at an address via the license plate number. The moped turned out to be there. The suspect’s mother indicated that her son was not at home, but that he had told him that a man had kicked his scooter and that he had therefore got into a fight with him. Early on Saturday, September 2, 2023, the suspect was arrested in his parental home.
