'Bolle Jos not yet prosecuted for Naima Jillal's disappearance'

Wanted drug boss ‘Bolle’ Jos Leijdekkers will be prosecuted in absentia next month for large-scale cocaine trafficking and ordering a liquidation. The AD reports this on Thursday evening. He will not be charged in the disappearance of ‘godmother of coke’ Naima Jillal.

Linked

The summons against the fugitive Leijdekkers contains six drug cases. It is not exactly clear which batches of cocaine are involved, the AD writes. Leijdekkers is probably linked to, among other things, an intercepted transport of 4,200 kilos of cocaine in Antwerp. The cargo, with a street value of hundreds of millions, was partly hidden under squid in 2020. Several people involved have already been convicted in both Belgium and the Netherlands.

Quay

At the end of March, a case was heard in Belgium, with Bolle Jos as one of the main suspects. At the end of 2019, customs discovered a shipment of almost 3 tons of cocaine from Costa Rica on the quay in Antwerp. That was the start of the investigation, which was codenamed Costa. Dozens of people are now in court, including the Dutch drug baron.

Failed

Leijdekkers will not be prosecuted for the disappearance of Naima Jillal (52). She would have been held responsible for a failed cocaine transport. Jillal is missing. Photos of the ‘godmother of coke’ are circulating in the criminal environment, allegedly showing that she has been tortured. Leijdekkers was previously seen as a suspect in the woman’s disappearance in an investigation report.

There are still indications that Leijdekkers is involved in her disappearance, but they are currently not considered strong enough for a criminal case. “The investigation into her disappearance has not yet been completed,” a spokesperson for the Public Prosecution Service explained to the AD.
