Black Mirror is one of our favorite Netflix series and that is not surprising: it portrays all kinds of frightening images of the future that have everything to do with technology. Although, the last season moved closer and closer to horror. In any case, it is interesting to see what technological inventions the makers will come up with next, because they are often things that make you think: ‘That could well exist’. Others think that it has existed for a long time, but that the government is hiding it all.
Whatever the case, in Black Mirror we get a glimpse into a potential future and often things don’t end well. Being able to view someone’s memories, for example. We have already seen many creepy examples in the previous six seasons and there will be a few more next year. 6 to be precise. Netflix also revealed that one of the episodes is a sequel, namely USS Callister from season 4 in which we saw Jesse Plemons shine. Daly is dead, but the crew of the USS Callister is just seeing his troubles begin.

We’re curious to see how Netflix will approach marketing again, because last year it posted all kinds of photos of billboards showing who was ‘awful’. In any case, it is a series that calls for a strange, somewhat dystopian advertising campaign. Netflix still has some time to figure out what it will do. It is hoped that the new season will be released in early 2025, which we think so, since some stories are already known.
We are considering rewatching the entire series, because the first season was quite a long time ago and we wonder whether certain things have already been developed in real life. And we are of course very curious whether we will find out more about the new episodes in the near future and, above all, what exact date they will be online. One thing is for sure, it doesn’t hurt to watch the previous season of Black Mirror. You also don’t actually have to watch the episodes in a certain order: in that respect it is not quite a series as in: you have to follow it. Each episode will present itself to you in its own way with new actors and so on. We have yet to discover who will appear in the seventh season.
