Bag with a barrel found on the street in The Hague after a possible drug deal

On Wednesday, agents found a bag containing 100,050 euros in cash at Dignaland in The Hague. The owner of the bag, a 28-year-old man from The Hague, has been arrested.

Around 3 p.m., officers at Hendrinaland in The Hague saw a driver of a passenger car make contact with another person, possibly there was a drug deal. The police reported on Friday that the driver of the car suddenly drove away at high speed and turned onto Catharinaland with squealing tires and came to a stop on Dignaland.

The driver then fled while running with an Albert Heijn bag in his hands. Officers saw the man throw the bag away and continue walking. In the bag, officers found a large amount of money wrapped in plastic foil and bundled with rubber bands. In total it turned out to be 100,050 euros.

The 28-year-old man has been arrested on suspicion of money laundering. The amount of money has been seized.
