An arrest team raided the wrong house in Schijndel on Saturday evening around 8:30 PM. A family with three small children was present in the home at the time. The police say they ‘very much regret’ the incident and are conducting further investigation into the mistake.

The police were looking for a wanted person and an arrest team raided the house in Schijndel, but it soon became apparent that there had been a mistake. The arrest team found a family with three small children in the house. They appeared to have no relationship whatsoever with the person sought.
Police say the family is deeply shocked by the incident. In a press release, the police said they were ‘very sorry’ for what happened.
‘Of course we have apologized. We are also in close contact with them about further handling. How it was possible that the wrong home was entered will be further investigated.’
The police do not want to share any more information about the investigation and the wanted person at this time. The suspect has not yet been arrested.
