Badhoevedorp/Hoofddorp – The police in Kennemerland arrested three people on Tuesday, September 12, in an investigation into public violence, theft with violence in association and an attempted robbery in Hoofddorp and Badhoevedorp. They are suspected of involvement in one or more incidents.
On May 6, 2023, around 4:30 PM, an open act of violence and an attempted robbery took place on Marktlaan in Hoofddorp. A 14-year-old boy from Hoofddorp was injured. Two days later, on Monday, May 8, 2023 around 8:30 PM, two underage boys were victims of a violent theft at the playground on Toevluchtstraat in Badhoevedorp. This happened in association. Research has shown that there is a connection between the various incidents.
The suspects, three boys aged 18, 14 and 16 from Amsterdam, Duivendrecht and Rijssen (Overijssel), were arrested at their place of residence on Tuesday morning and taken to the police station for questioning. Detectives are continuing the investigation and have not ruled out more arrests.
