Veenendaal – A 43-year-old resident of Veenendaal and a 15-year-old boy from Ede are detained on suspicion of involvement in a major violent incident in which a 10-year-old girl from Veenendaal was attacked near the swimming pool in Veenendaal.
On Sunday afternoon, May 14, around 4:20 p.m., the police received a report of a serious assault just outside the swimming pool on Sportlaan. It turned out at the scene that a 10-year-old girl had been severely abused by at least two people. On the instructions of bystanders, officers were able to immediately arrest a 15-year-old suspect. Shortly afterwards, a 43-year-old suspect was arrested in his home. The girl was taken to hospital for check-ups and treatment.

The impact of those images is great and harmful for those directly involved. The two suspects have been taken in for questioning. The police are continuing the investigation.
