Value – After an accident on the A58, six people were arrested on Friday, February 24. Two people have been taken to a hospital. The police are investigating the cause.
The accident happened around 5:20 p.m. on the A58. According to witnesses, a delivery van with six occupants drove at high speed over the emergency lane to pass the traffic jam. When a truck passed, the van ended up with its wheels on the verge. The driver lost control of the wheel and hit the guardrail via the roadway. The van hit three passenger cars. A driver and a passenger in the van were taken to a hospital. Two drivers of the other passenger cars were checked on the spot by ambulance people. Because it is not yet clear who was the driver of the van, all six occupants have been arrested. They are suspected of causing a traffic accident. Officers have recorded witness statements. The police are continuing to investigate the cause.
