Alkmaar – The police arrested a 20-year-old man from Heiloo on Tuesday, May 30 in connection with a robbery at the Muiderwaard in Alkmaar. On Sunday, December 18, 2022, a family was forced to hand over their belongings here under threat of a fire and stabbing weapon and with violence. The suspect is in custody and his role is under investigation. Police are not ruling out multiple arrests.
It was around 8.55 pm when a family on the Muiderwaard in Alkmaar was attacked. A group of several people entered the home, abused the family and rudely ordered them to hand over their belongings. This ultimately failed. The victims were checked on the spot by the paramedics and did not have to go to the hospital.
Possible involvement in meal delivery robbery
The suspect is also associated with a robbery of a meal delivery company in Grootebroek. On Wednesday evening, December 28, 2022, a 38-year-old meal delivery boy from the municipality of Stede Broec fell victim to a robbery. When the meal delivery driver drove towards the Pandhof to deliver an order, two boys approached him and indicated that they had ordered the pizzas. When the meal delivery boy wanted to pay for the pizzas, this was refused by two boys. One of the suspects even grabbed a firearm-like object and threatened the meal delivery driver. In this case too, the role of the suspect is being further investigated and several arrests are not excluded.
