Berkel en Rodenrijs – This morning a 28-year-old man from Delft was arrested in Berkel en Rodenrijs on suspicion of involvement in the kidnapping of a 71-year-old man who was kidnapped from Zoutziederstraat at the end of January. After the man’s release on February 10, the investigation by the criminal investigation team continued. The investigation revealed the 28-year-old man. Previous arrest
On Thursday, January 25, 2024, witnesses reported that a man had been pulled into a bus by three men on Zoutziedersstraat in Rotterdam. The victim was walking home from the mosque at that time, a walk of a few hundred meters. A major investigation was started immediately after the kidnapping. Within that investigation, a suspect was arrested on Tuesday, January 30, a 45-year-old man from Zwolle. He is also suspected of involvement in the kidnapping. This man is still in custody.

On the morning of February 10, the 71-year-old man arrived at the Rhoonse Baan just before half past eight and reported himself to officers who were there to handle another report. The man has been taken to hospital for a health check.
