Eindhoven – The police arrested a 25-year-old Rotterdam resident in his hometown on Friday evening. He is suspected of being responsible for an explosion at a house on the Jan van Eyckgracht in Eindhoven on July 3 this year.
Early on July 3, residents on the Jan van Eyckgracht woke up to an explosion. The explosion severely damaged the front door of a home. Fortunately, no one was injured.
Research
The police immediately launched an investigation into the circumstances of the explosion. Trace investigation showed that heavy fireworks caused the explosion and camera images showed the suspected perpetrator wearing a face covering. The police investigation ultimately led to the 25-year-old suspect from Rotterdam. He was arrested on Friday evening. He is suspected of being the attacker and is in custody for further investigation.
The reason for the incident is currently being sought in the relational sphere, but further investigation is being conducted into the exact circumstances and cause.
