Apple has announced its latest iPhones: the iPhone 15 Pro and the iPhone 15 Pro Max. It is remarkable that these devices are made of titanium and that they are equipped with new ‘Action buttons’. Apple claims, as it does every year, that these smartphones are the most powerful they have ever produced. iPhone 15 Pro and iPhone 15 Pro Max are available in four new versions: black titanium, white titanium, blue titanium and natural titanium. You can pre-order from Friday, September 15, after which they will be available from Friday, September 22.

New A17 Pro chip

At the heart of these new models is the A17 Pro chip, which Apple says will compete with certain high-end PCs. Quite a claim that creates expectations! The 15 Pro has a 6.1 inch screen and the iPhone 15 Pro Max has a 6.7 inch screen. Apple believes these devices, along with a redesigned GPU, are capable of taking mobile gaming to the next level. We ourselves have our doubts about this, but we are very curious.

USB-C port for the iPhone 15 Pro

As expected, both the 15 Pro and the iPhone 15 Pro Max are equipped with a USB-C port on the bottom, replacing the previous Lightning port. What is notable about the iPhone 15 Pro is the introduction of a transfer speed of 10 Gbps. This increased speed facilitates the transfer of photos, videos and other large files from the phone to other devices.

Action button

The new action button, which replaces the traditional ringer switch on the left side of the iPhone Pro, allows users to set shortcuts for various functions, activate accessibility settings, open the camera, turn on the flashlight, start TikTok in one click. opening and much more. Although it still serves as a bell signal button by default, this seems to be a very interesting new button that is easy to use.

Of course, the cameras of the smartphones have also changed this time. For example, the iPhone now offers a 5x optical zoom option, which is the highest zoom level that Apple has offered to date, with a focal length of up to 120mm. While those specs may not quite match those of the latest Samsung cameras, it will undoubtedly represent a significant upgrade for iPhone users.

A particularly notable feature of the 15 Pro is the ability to capture ‘Spatial videos’, similar to the impressive 3D content previously seen on the Vision Pro.

With iOS 17

iOS 17, which we wrote about before, will of course include new features. Some features include Standby mode, interactive widgets, Live Voicemail and Contact Posters. There will also be NameDrop, a new feature within AirDrop that makes it easier to exchange contact information by holding two iPhones close together.
