Apple Watch has a problem: it just calls your contacts

The Apple Watch appears to have a life of its own for some people. There is a glitch in the software that makes it appear as if you are touching the smart watch, but you are not doing so at all. In short, as if a ghost is playing with it, the Apple Watch suddenly starts calling people or opens something that you don’t need at that moment.

Apple Watch has its own plan

You can imagine that it can cause some awkward situations if your smart watch spontaneously starts calling someone. And you’re lucky if you notice: if for some reason you don’t notice and you’re just telling a story about that person, or doing something else that isn’t necessarily for everyone’s ears then that can cause quite uncomfortable situations.

It would only occur with the latest Apple Watch: the 9 and the Ultra 2 (the more robust version) appear to be haunted. Apple is currently investigating the problem and will undoubtedly take it seriously. It is impossible to say whether it is a hardware error or a software error.

Apple’s solution

It does have a solution: restart your watch (you do this by pressing the digital crown and the button for 10 seconds), or of course just make sure that you do not charge it at the end of the day, because then the battery is empty and the gadget turns off automatically. In any case, it is good to always download and use the latest updates.

There is no point in reporting your Apple Watch to Apple for repair: that will only advise you to restart and, above all, to be patient, while it continues to work on the solution to these spooky problems.
