For an attack with explosives at the home of a 90-year-old woman in Wilrijk in October 2022, the Antwerp court sentenced two Dutch people to five years in prison on Tuesday. The attack turned out to be a mistake later. These are Faysal K. (24) from Amsterdam-Zuidoost and Raichel J. (24) from Almere. The court ordered their arrest because the two reside in an unknown location.

The explosion occurred around 6 a.m. in the Pieter van Passenstraat in Wilrijk, just below Antwerp, on October 29, 2022. The house of the 90-year-old woman, and a house next to it, suffered significant damage. The public prosecutor said he suspected that this was a mistake, because five days after the attack another explosive device exploded in the same street. That was at the home of the ex-partner of a convicted drug criminal.
Belgian justice used as evidence images taken by a surveillance camera of someone placing something on the ground in front of the house. There was also a witness who had noted the Dutch license plate of the car with the perpetrators. That license plate hit the ANPR system in the Netherlands. The vehicle was then intercepted by police in Amsterdam that same day. Faysal K. and Raichel J. were the occupants and were arrested.
Photos of weapons, drugs and money were found in K.’s mobile phone.
The two were extradited to Belgium, where they exercised their right to remain silent. The two suspects were later released on bail.
Badly injured
Raichel J. has been convicted five times in the Netherlands for money laundering offenses and traffic crimes.
According to Het Parool, Faysal K. was convicted of involvement in a shooting on February 9, 2018 in Amsterdam-Zuidoost when an ex-partner of Emylio “Millie” G.’s new girlfriend was shot and seriously injured. Millie G. has been sentenced to life in prison for a wild shooting in a community center on Wittenburg in the eastern city center of Amsterdam, in which a 17-year-old innocent boy was shot dead.
The Antwerp court has ordered the immediate arrest of Faysal K. and Raichel J.. As far as we know, they are on the run.
