An explosion took place at a house on Cortenbachsingel in Rotterdam on Thursday night around 02.45 am. No one was injured. Shortly after the explosion, a 20-year-old Rotterdammer was arrested on suspicion of involvement in the incident.

The explosion completely destroyed the kitchen window of the house. There is a lot of glass shards in and outside the house. Officers who arrived on the scene immediately launched an investigation. During this investigation, a 20-year-old man from Rotterdam could be arrested in the area.
Cameras
The event was captured by several security cameras in the street. Those images are also being viewed by the police.
Second attack
On Wednesday evening around 23.00 it was also hit on the Cortenbachsingel. Then an explosive device went off at the front door of another home, slightly injuring a 71-year-old resident of the home who was just walking down the stairs. The first attack may have been a mistake, so that more than 24 hours later another explosive device went off at two homes away.
