Spanish police arrested 13 people suspected of growing cannabis on Wednesday morning. An Albanian criminal group wanted to distribute the weed in Europe.

It involved a group of Albanians who planned to smuggle the weed to other European countries. The police discovered a number of plantations in November 2021, which were guarded by members of the group.

Three hundred officers of the Guardia Civil were involved in the action that took place in the province of Tarragona. They carried out ten house searches. 2500 cannabis plants, 22 kilos of buds, and 50,000 euros in cash were seized. Electricity was illegally extracted for the cultivation of the weed.
