Ajax has set its sights on Galatasaray striker Kerem Aktürkoglu. Klaas-Jan Huntelaar, who is part of the technical heart in Amsterdam, was in Turkey on Friday evening to watch the 24-year-old attacker.
Huntelaar was in the stands for Aktürkoglu during the match between Galatasaray and Kayserispor (6-0), Turkish journalist Mehmet Batuhan Ağır of tv100 tells VoetbalPrimeur. The nineteen-time Turkish international scored and provided two assists against the number seven of the Süper Lig. The market value of Aktürkoglu, who prefers to play as a left winger, is estimated at thirteen million euros.
Aktürkoglu still has a long-term contract with Galatasaray until the summer of 2026, so Ajax will have to pull out the wallet if the interest becomes serious. The attacker, who has so far only been active in the Turkish leagues, has been playing at Galatasaray since September 2020. In 111 official games, he scored 28 goals and 22 assists.
