'Ajax goes for a spicy deal and makes contact with PSV mercenary Fábio Silva'

Ajax can hit PSV on the transfer market. The Amsterdammers aim their arrows at Fábio Silva, reports the Eindhovens Dagblad. The twenty-year-old striker was rented by the Eindhoven team from Wolverhampton Wanderers for the past six months.

PSV is happy with Silva, but a longer stay at the Philips Stadium no longer seems to be an option. Ajax still sees opportunities to incorporate the Portuguese. According to the ED, the Amsterdammers are very charmed by the technically skilled attacker. “The interest is already such that Ajax has specifically inquired about his services with Silva’s management,” the newspaper writes.

Ajax is betting on a rental deal, possibly with an option to buy. In the Johan Cruijff Arena, Silva would have to compete with Brian Brobbey and possibly Dusan Tadic, who can also play in the front of the attack. In any case, Silva does not intend to return to Wolves, which paid €40 million for him to FC Porto in 2020.

Silva scored five times for PSV in nineteen matches. The ED knows that the Portuguese is well in the group and that he would have liked to stay in Eindhoven. That was initially the intention, but due to UEFA regulations, PSV could only rent him for six months in January. Interesting detail: in the cup final against Ajax, Silva scored the winning penalty.
