A white screen conceals traces of the pitch-black day at Erasmus MC

The Eramsus MC (EMC) education center has been open again to students and employees since October 9. The repair work of the fire and water damage is still in full swing. A large white screen hides it from view.

On September 28, Fouad L. shot and killed GP and teacher Jurgen Damen in a classroom and set fire to the education center. The room in question is still closed. Before the attack there, he also shot his neighbor and her daughter. L. studied medicine at the EMC.

The council chamber of the court in Rotterdam recently determined that L. will remain in pre-trial detention until the first public court hearing in mid-January. He is being examined at the Pieter Baan Center.
