On Monday morning, 350 jerry cans with suspected drug waste were found in the Brabant village of Achtmaal (municipality of Zundert). The jerry cans are lying in a ditch and verge on the Roosendaalsebaan. According to the police, this is a major drug dumping and there is contamination of the soil and surface water due to leaking barrels. The environmental service is also on site.

The jerry cans were found this morning by a newspaper delivery man. It is estimated that this would be about 6,000 liters of chemicals. This is the largest drug dumping in Brabant this year.
The police are investigating where the drug waste comes from and are in consultation with the municipality and environmental service about the safe disposal of it. No arrests have yet been made.
