Ridderkerk – An 18-year-old boy from Ridderkerk was shot on the street on Olmenlaan in Ridderkerk on Monday evening around 7 p.m. He was seriously injured and taken in an ambulance for emergency transport to hospital. Police searched the area for the shooter, but no one has been arrested so far. The investigation continues.
Immediately after the shooting incident, witnesses were spoken to and available camera images were searched. Trace investigations were carried out on Olmenlaan by, among others, the Forensic Investigation and a sniffer dog. Based on the investigation, a house in Beverwaard was searched, but no suspicious objects were found there.
