16-year-old arrested for explosion in The Hague (UPDATE)

The police arrested a 16-year-old boy from The Hague on Monday who is suspected of causing an explosion at a house on Groenezijde last Saturday. There were attacks with heavy fireworks in various places in the Netherlands last evening and night. No suspects have been arrested.

Fence

A car was damaged as well as part of a fence. According to police, it appears the boy acted alone. The suspect has confessed.

On Tuesday, the police in Rotterdam announced that two 18-year-old and a 19-year-old boy have been arrested for more than ten explosions in different parts of the Netherlands.

Rotterdam

There was an explosion at a house on Klerkstraat in Rotterdam-Prins Alexander on Tuesday evening. No one was injured there. Around 9 p.m. there was an attack on a house at the Wim Wagenerhof in Rotterdam-Lombardijen.

Purmerend

Heavy fireworks were exploded at a house on Mercuriusweg in Purmerend on Wednesday around 3:40 am. The resident was home but was not injured. The front door of the house is damaged.

Amersfoort

In the night from Tuesday to Wednesday, an explosion took place at around 1:15 am at a house on Tristanpad in Amersfoort. It is suspected that heavy fireworks were thrown through the window of the house. The explosion caused considerable damage to the front of the house. The residents were unharmed.
