A large quantity of drugs was found in a house at De Doorlaat in Zwartemeer (municipality of Emmen) on Monday. The police have arrested a 51-year-old man from Zwartemeer.
Officers responded to a report of an ‘threatening situation’ at De Doorlaat. Discussions were held with those involved on site. During the conversation with one of the people involved, officers saw drugs in the house, the police reported in a press release on Thursday.
Further investigation into the building revealed a large quantity of drugs as well as materials for packaging and distributing drugs. Among other things, 10 kilos of cannabis buds, 5 kilos of speed, 1 kilo of hashish, 11,000 ecstasy pills, almost 100 grams of cocaine and crystal meth were found. The police confiscated the items.
